About
We excel at teaching the courses students typically struggle with most.
Praxit started as a tutoring operation and grew into a full learning platform. Over 10,000 students have used our explanations to master their courses.
The origin
Some courses carry enormous weight in a college career — gatekeepers for med school, engineering, or economics programs. The lectures move fast, the exams are unforgiving, and office hours fill up the night before the test. Students who struggle aren't lacking effort — they're lacking the right explanation at the right moment.
Praxit started as one-on-one and small-group tutoring. Over time, the same explanations proved useful for hundreds, then thousands of students — and it became clear that video was a better delivery mechanism than one tutor at a time.
Today, Praxit is a platform — every concept video, every practice problem, every mock exam — built around the approach that worked in those early tutoring sessions: understand the pattern, apply it to real problems, and track what you know.
What we believe
Apply the concepts, don't memorize them
Students who understand the underlying pattern can solve problems they've never seen before. We build content that teaches the reasoning, not the recipe.
Practice has to come with feedback
Working a problem into the void teaches nothing. Every practice problem on Praxit has a full video solution so you can see exactly where your thinking diverged.
Students should know where they stand
Your Exam Dashboard shows mastery at the concept level — not just a percentage. The platform should tell you where to focus next, not make you guess.
What we cover
We focus on high-stakes gateway courses — the ones with the highest failure rates and the most to lose. Current coverage includes CHM 2045 at UF and the ACS Gen Chem 1 exam. We're actively adding:
